Healthy Start Pittsburgh - Full Scope Prenatal/Postpartum Support (Home Visiting)
Our mission is to improve maternal and child health and to reduce poor birth outcomes and infant mortality. We provide education, advocacy, case management, information and referrals to families for community-based health and social services. We emphasize prenatal care, support for birthing people who may have adverse experiences within the medical system, breastfeeding education and support, health education, family planning, and other support services that assist in the reduction of poor birth outcomes and infant mortality. We also provide postpartum depression screening, intervention and referral as well as breastfeeding, childbirth prep, and parenting classes for mothers. We also offer parenting classes and case management for eligible fathers. Eligible participants may receive diapers, books, educational toys and other household items.

Eligibility: Residents of Allegheny County, within select zip codes. We enroll women while pregnant. The partners of the mothers we serve are also eligible for services. There are no income guidelines.

Intake Requirements: Mothers must be pregnant. The partners of the mothers we serve are also eligible for services. There are no income guidelines.
