Lawrence County Community Action Partnership - Supportive Services for Veteran Families
SSVF provides temporary financial assistance and comprehensive case management services to Veterans. Veterans must be either homeless or at risk of homelessness to be eligible for the services. Assistance includes rent and arrearages, security and utility deposits, transportation assistance, emergency supplies, childcare, moving assistance, and emergency supplies. SSVF serves Veteran Households in the following counties: Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Lawrence, and Mercer.

May provide eligible Veteran families with outreach, case management, and assistance in obtaining VA and other benefits, which may include:
  • Health care services
  • Daily living services
  • Personal financial planning services
  • Transportation services
  • Fiduciary and payee services
  • Legal services
  • Child care services
  • Housing counseling services
May also provide time-limited payments to third parties (e.g., landlords, utility companies, moving companies, and licensed child care providers) if these payments help Veteran families stay in or acquire permanent housing on a sustainable basis.
