Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society - Patient Services
Patient Financial Aid Program-Through the Patient Financial Aid Program, LLS is able to provide a limited amount of financial aid to help patients with significant financial need and who are under a doctors care for a blood cancer diagnosis.

Family Support Groups-All patients, family members and friends affected by a blood cancer are invited to attend our support groups. Facilitated by oncology healthcare professionals, the groups provide information and support and encourage communication.

First Connection-This "peer-to-peer" telephone support program links patients and their family members with a trained peer volunteer who has successfully met the challenges of leukemia, Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma. The First Connection Program brings patients and their families the opportunity to share experiences with someone who has "been through it" and obtain valuable information on LLS and community resources available.

The Trish Green Back to School Program for Children with Cancer-Materials, videos and other printed inventory are available to increase communication among healthcare professionals, parents, young patients and school personnel to assure a smooth transition from active treatment back to the classroom.

Patient and Healthcare Professional Education Programs-The LLS collaborates with other healthcare organizations to offer educational programs on the latest disease, treatment and coping information. These programs attempt to simplify the ever-expanding array of information and support now available to patients.

Teleconferences and Webcasts-Are offered through the LLS and are accessible via our web site: www.lls.org

Information and Resources-Information and resources to assist you and your family can be obtained for the Central Pennsylvania Chapter office. Disease and treatment specific literature and fact sheets are also available free of charge.
