Provides a one-time payment of up to $500 per household that may not be extended as credit and excludes payment of arrears and penalty, maintenance, security deposits, or installment fees.



Provides a one-time payment of up to $500 per household annually to qualifying individuals ages 60 or older with no implementation of copayment based on gross household income.

Assist individuals in planning for heating needs through financial planning education and energy conservation and weatherizing resources to alleviate heating crisis in the future. The program closes annually on March 31st or at the exhaustion of funding availability.

Eligibility: - Be a 90 consecutive day resident of Mifflin or Juniata County

- Be denied LIHEAP cash and crisis benefits or for those 60 or older have exhausted all LIHEAP cash and crisis benefits for the current heating season

- Have received no financial assistance from Energy Bank within last 24 month except those 60 or older may apply annually

- Have adequate income to maintain household expenses in the upcoming 30 days
- Have paid additional fees and copayment (those 60 and older are waived of copayment)

- Have provided all requested information for verification

- Social security cards for all household members

- 90 days proof of income (includes income from domestic relations, department of public welfare, employment, social security, and pensions)

- Statement of LIHEAP denial
Receipt of payment of balance owed for delivery or continued services
- Statement of utility shut off
- Payment of co-pay based on income
