Emergency Rent and Utilities Coalition (ERUC) (ERAP)
Offers up to $1,500 per month in assistance to households for rental arrears and/or utility arrears dating back to March 1, 2020, with a maximum of 6 months' worth of arrears being awarded, not to exceed $9,000 per household.
Arrears ONLY - cannot be used for deposits or future expenses.

  • Household must reside in Montgomery County at the time of application
  • Household must be at or below 80% of Area Median Income at the time of application
  • Household must have rent arrears and/or an eviction notice and/or utility arrears and/or a utility shut-off notice at the time application in order to receive assistance
  • Household must be able to self-report a COVID hardship and have no alternative means to pay the rent and/or utility arrears for which the household is applying
