UGI Operation Share Gas Utility Assistance Program Salvation Army of Scranton
Operation Share Energy Fund provides energy assistance grants to qualified UGI customers who experience difficulty paying their gas/heating bills.
UGI works with the Salvation Army of Scranton to administer Operation Share funds to qualified customers who reside in Scranton, Dickson City, Dunmore, Moosic, Old Forge, Taylor and Throop.
Must be a UGI Gas Utility customer. Not eligible if on the CAP program.
Service provided by appointment only. Call for information and appointment if you are having difficulty paying your UGI bill, have a 10 day shut off notice or UGI gas utility already shut off. Federal Income guideline apply. Funds are limited.
Operation Share is a supplement to federal or state energy assistance programs, not a replacement.
Currently the Salvation Army of Scranton does not have funding to help with electric bill or to help utility customers other than UGI customers. However, will discuss need and refers to other programs and community agencies that may help.
