Beaver County Office on Aging - Older Adult Protective Services
Investigates reports of abuse, neglect (including self-neglect), abandonment and financial exploitation. Also provides assistance to alleviate the risk of harm. Concerns may be reported anonymously. Abuse reports can be made 24/7 whether the person lives in the community or a care facility such as a nursing home, etc. Reporters may remain anonymous and have legal protection from retaliation, discrimination and civil or criminal prosecution. All reports are investigated, an evaluation of the victim's needs is determined and a care plan developed. Information concerning the victim's case will be maintained as confidential.
