STEP, Inc. - Paratransit Services Lycoming County
Services operate Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., except on STEP-observed holidays and are available to anyone living in or visiting Lycoming and Clinton counties. Transportation is available to travel anywhere within the service area consisting of the following counties: Lycoming, Clinton, Centre, Union, Northumberland, Columbia, Snyder, and Montour. Transportation fares per one-way trip are based on ride sponsorships and a zone-based, miles-driven fare structure. Refer to the fares and sponsorship information for more information. Consumers must reserve their ride before noon of the preceding business day. Some consumers may be eligible for enrollment in transportation sponsoring programs, which make fares reasonable.

Intake Procedure: Call to register for services. Some eligibility determinations are required for individuals applying for services under Persons with Disabilities(PwD), Medical Assistance Transportation Program(MATP), Area Agency on Aging(AAA), and The Employment Transportation Program.
Helpful Tips: Door-to-door service is provided in a friendly, courteous manner. Consumers are asked to be ready and waiting for the Driver's arrival. Drivers have a 5-minute waiting period once they arrive. Transportation operates within a 30-minute window for pick-ups. The STEP vehicle may arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled pickup time or 15 minutes after your scheduled pickup time. One unexcused no-show will result in a written warning. If you receive a 2nd unexcused no-show within 90 days, a 30-day suspension will occur, effective 15 days following the date the suspension letter is issued. If you receive paperwork about an upcoming suspension, you have 10 calendar days to file an appeal.
