Eligibility:
To be eligible for services, a student must have one of the
disabilities identified by special education law or demonstrate a
25% delay in development which results in the need for specially
designed instruction.

Intake Procedure:
Upon referral, families are provided with questionnaires that
assist the program in screening for possible developmental delays
or disabilities. If concerns are identified, the family is
contacted to schedule an educational evaluation to determine
eligibility for services.
Intake Requirements:
Students must reside in one of the 18 school districts served by
the BCIU and be between 3 years old and Kindergarten age for their
district.
