United Community Services for Working Families - YouthBuild Program
Provides 17-24 year olds in the Reading area with the opportunity to learn academic, job readiness, and occupational skills by preparing them to make a successful transition into post-secondary education, the construction industry and other high-growth occupational sectors. Students prepare for the GED while also learning to become self-sufficient, career-minded adults.

Eligibility: Must:
- Be at least 17 years old, but not older than 24 years old, on the first day of the school year
- Not have a high school diploma or GED
- Successfully complete UCS YouthBuild 5 step enrollment process
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm

Intake Requirements: Application, income verification, interviewRequired to:
- Attend an information session.
- Take the TABE test.
- Submit eligibility documentation(picture ID, social security card, selective services for males 18 or older, and proof of income).
- Successfully pass an interview.
- Complete our 2 week Mental Toughness Orientation
Intake Procedure: Contact UCS to schedule appointment to start application process.
