*Covid-19 UPDATES** - Wayne County Residents In this difficult time. Please reach out to us. We are here to help! You must call 570-253-4262 to register and obtain your pantry assignment. Each pantry will have 2 distribution dates in June. Please remember - you can only go to your assigned location. Lakeville Distributions June 11th and June 25th, Open 11 am to 2 pm. Drive thru Pantry - consumers will remain in their cars and will not be entering the pantry buildings.If you walk to a pantry,-keeping at least 6 feet of distance between people. Volunteers will place prepared food bags into vehicles or baskets/carts. Consumer will be asked to give consent for Pantry volunteer proxy to sign for them, acknowledging receipt of the food bag/box. If you are sick - stay home - can still receive food using the proxy practice - which can be a proxy form provided at the pantry before it is needed or a hand written note giving permission to a friend or neighbor to pick up their food packages. For more information please contact us at 570-253-4262, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. If your employment has ended or you have been laid off because of the Coronavirus, you may apply to access the pantry system by completing a "Self Declaration of Need" form. The form will require updating when your employment is reinstated. If you are interested in becoming involved with the food pantry or would like further information, please contact us at 570-253-4262. ______________________________ Provides nutritious shelf staples which may supplement an applicant's food budget on a regular monthly basis. Information on meal planning, menu planning, nutrition, food storage, food preparation and budgeting are also available at the pantry site. Regular distribution takes place on the 4th Thursday of each month from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Distribution is held at the Paupack Township Municipal Building, 25 Daniels Road, Lakeville. For emergency need call 570-352-6177 or 570-226-3115. Special holiday food bags are provided for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas for food pantry clients. Special requests for holiday food for those not registered with the food pantry will be consider on a case by case basis. The Wayne County Food Pantry Program is a distribution agency for WNEP Feed A Friend Program. The Wayne County Food Pantry Program is a also a distribution agency for Feed A Friend Thanksgiving baskets.

Hours: 4th Thursday of each month from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Intake Requirements: To register at the food pantry site, applicants must bring proof of physical address, such as a current utility bill. No PO Boxes. In addition, applicant should know the names, dates of birth, last four digits of Social Security numbers, and income for all household members.
Intake Procedure: Food pantry requires a referral from a Wayne County Social Service Agency and an application. Contact the Wayne County Food Pantry Program at 570-253-4262 for information about how to register with a pantry. Can also fill out an application at the Lakeville Area Food Pantry during regular pantry hours.
