Blair County Community Action has a temporary program for Deliverable Fuels. This program began October 25, 2016 and will run through December 31, 2016. The purpose of this program is to assist Blair County residents who are at risk of being without heat during the beginning of the cold season.

Deliverable fuels will be defined as the following:
1. Oil
2. Gas
3. Propane
4. Wood
5. Pellets
6. Coal
2301 Beale Avenue
Altoona, PA 16601
Eligibility: Income Guidelines for the program are set at 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The household must use their main heating source declared on their intake and not their secondary source.

Helpful Tips: Each consumer accessing the program will be allowed to receive $300 for their main heating source of deliverable fuel. Due to the differences in the cost of each fuel product listed above, each consumer will only be provided with a one-time allocation of a Deliverable Fuel, thus allowing more opportunity for other individuals and families to access the program. A second allocation of the remaining balance will not be provided due to time constraints. For example: if a consumer receives a pellet delivery and it costs $150, they will not be able to receive the other $150 at another time during the program.
