COVID-19 UPDATES: WRC is responding to crisis calls via the agencies 24/7 confidential hotline. We are doing face to face appointments. Court representation is limited to emergencies.
Professionally trained advocates provide ongoing empowerment counseling, tailored to individual needs, to victims, children and significant others. This includes crisis, economic and educative counseling. Additionally, support groups are held regularly for adults or teens who are survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment.
The Barbara J. Hart Justice Center provides legal assistance to program participants, including representation, consultation and court preparation. Services include safety planning, Protection From Abuse orders, child custody, child support, divorce, nuisance ordinances from landlords, evictions, consumer debt, banking and tax issues, immigration issues, and employment cases.
