YMCA of Indiana County - Big Hearts, Little Hands
A mentoring program that is a structured and trusting relationship that brings a young person together with a caring adult who provides guidance, support and encouragement. Offers services to foster caring, competence, and confidence through emotional, social, cultural, and educational support for children between six and sixteen years of age. Group activities are offered to those in the program and those on the waiting list. BHLH collaborates with Highmark to offer KidShape, a family based weight management program. Volunteers are needed.

Eligibility: The child must be between the ages of six and sixteen, reside in Indiana County, and be in need of additional support from a mentor and able to benefit from a one-to-one relationship with a caring adult volunteer.
Hours: Office: 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday; volunteer hours vary
