YWCA Northcentral PA - Liberty House Shelter
A permenant supportive housing program for women and women with children who are homeless in Lycoming County. The maximum length of stay at Liberty House is 24 months. Clients/residents of Liberty House attend counseling and life skills education workshops. The staff work with participants on money management, parenting, job hunting, and nutrition, with the goal of self-sufficiency. All parents are required to attend parenting classes.

Eligibility: Applicants are required to show photo ID. The YWCA is a drug-free and alcohol-free site. Residents must be able to function independently in a shared living environment and must be at least 18 years of age. YWCA staff will provide support in attaining life changing goals. Individuals applying to the bridge housing program must be residents of Lycoming County. An interview with a member of the Liberty House staff must take place. Once these requirements are met, acceptance into the program may be granted based on compliance with Liberty House's rules and regulations. Admittance is also dependent on the availability of space.

Fee Amounts: Service fee is based on family size and income based on HUD guidelines.
Geographical Area: Bradford, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming County, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga and Union
Helpful Tips: The service fee is based on family size and income. A portion of the remaining income is to be kept in a savings program that will be maintained by the resident. Clients/residents of Liberty House are required to attend counseling and life skills education workshops. All parents will be required to attend parenting classes.
Facility/ADA access: The public entrance is located in the back of the building. From the parking lot, please proceed up the back ramp.
