The Commissioners are vested with policy-making authority to provide certain local services and facilities on a county-wide basis. Administrative powers and duties of the County Commissioners encompass voter registration and elections, assessment of property, human services, veterans' affairs, 911, emergency services, operation of a county jail, personnel, and budget and finance management.
