Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania - Brain Injury Resource Line
The Brain Injury Resource Line (BIRL) is a toll free number, maintained by the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania. It is designed to give resource information to all who call. Since its inception. in 2002, volunteers have handled over 2,000 phone calls. A call to this number will connect you to a recording which invites you to leave your telephone number (including area code). These calls are then assigned to a volunteer who will return the call to provide resource information. The goal of our BIRL volunteers is to return all calls within three work days. The Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania does not support, endorse, or recommend any product, method of treatment, or program for individuals with brain injury. BIAPA does not claim that the resources listed encompass all organizations in Pennsylvania serving individuals with brain injury. Programs, services, names, and web sites listed are subject to change without prior notice. To obtain the most recent information on listed services, it is advisable to contact the service directly, and ask questions about the program.
