Opportunity House - Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) - Schuylkill
Provide financial assistance, intensive case management and supportive services to qualifying Veteran families who are homeless or facing homelessness. Supportive services (for those with open cases) may include assistance with the following :
- Housing/Rental expenses
- Moving expenses
- Transportation expenses
- Child care
- Essential living needs
- Veteran benefit referrals
- Education referrals
- Health care referrals
- Legal needs/referrals

Eligibility: Veterans alone or Veterans and identified family members living in the same households who are homeless or are imminently facing homelessness. Veterans must have a discharge status, other than dishonorable. Family income must meet income guidelines. Must have completed at least one active day to qualify for SSVF funding.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Intake Requirements: Photo ID/Veteran Affairs ID/VA insurance card
DD-214 or Statement of Service that shows discharge status
Social Security cards for everyone in the household
Proof of income for everyone in the household (paystubs, proof of pension, social security award letter, VA benefit letter, DPW benefit letter, etc)
Birth Certificates for all dependent children
Other documentation as requested
