Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program assists families struggling to make rental and utility (electric, water/sewer and trash, natural gas/propane/oil) payments.

Eligibility: - Must be a Berks County resident who is unable to pay due to a 20% or more loss of income (loss of job or reduction in hours), loss of unemployment or other financial hardship related to Covid-19.
- Must have a household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income
- At risk of homelessness or housing instability
- Must have a valid email address
Hours: Tuesday through Thursday, 8:30am to 3:30pm; Closed Monday and Friday

- Submit application and all required documents in person or by mail. Use the Reed St Entrance. Masks required.
- Access Points for assistance by appointment are available on website.
Helpful Tips: To check on case status, go to www.bceh.org and click on link at the top for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Then click on Case Status List. Search for Case ID number. Description of the case status can be found on page prior.

Berks County Redevelopment Authority is responsible for disbursement of the funds. Questions regarding disbursement can go to 610-478-6325 or fiscaldepartment@berksredevelop.org.
