Catholic Charities county offices provide seniors and their families with information about community resources. For Lawrence County seniors, a full spectrum of services is available through our Challenges: Options in Aging program.

Challenges: Options In Aging is Lawrence County's Area Agency on Aging.

Challenges: Options in Aging program is operated by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, serving residents of Lawrence County since 1974. Challenges seeks to enhance independence and maintain the highest quality of life possible for older adults through its programs and services—community centers, in-home services, and supportive services.

Challenges' centers offer a wide variety of educational, recreational and health-related activities to help support the independence of older adults who live in Lawrence County. While many of the activities are free, others require membership.

There are two Challenges locations:

Eligibility: Individuals age 60 or older residing in Lawrence County.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
