Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly - Philadelphia Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
CARIE’s Ombudsman Program serves long-term care residents in nursing homes, personal care homes, domiciliary care homes and adult day care centers located in Center City, South Philadelphia, Southwest Philadelphia, North Philadelphia and West Philadelphia. The Long Term Care Ombudsman advocates on behalf of consumers for enhanced quality of life and care relating to personal care and nursing care, environment, food and activities; educates consumers about their rights pertaining to admissions, transfer and discharge, personal funds, physician services, nursing and personal care; answers questions about long term care services and programs such as Medical Assistance and Medicare benefits; and protects the identity of complainants upon request and respect confidentiality.
