Central Behavioral Health - Montgomery, Norristown
Central Behavioral Health - Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The goal of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is to help individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness to recover hopes and dreams for self-determination, build the strengths and skills necessary, and take steps towards achieving these dreams. To achieve these goals, the IOP will empower participants to support their own recovery, cope more effectively with and manage their symptoms, prevent relapse, manage stress in healthy ways, and strengthen social relationships. The IOP will provide group therapy, as well as linkages to individual therapy and psychiatric services for medication management, with a focus on hope, empowerment, choice, and partnership. Specialized clinical resources for people who have experienced trauma and/or who have substance abuse disorders will address the particular needs of these participants. Specialized clinical resources for young adults and those with developmental disabilities will address these participants’ particular needs. The IOP will strive to create a collaborative network with participants, family members, case management services and other service providers.
