TIKVAH Advocates for the Jewish Mentally Ill - Support Services
AJMI provides support for Jewish families dealing with mental illness, and they provide social programs for this oft-forgotten segment of our community.
If you are an individual living with mental illness, Tikvah may be the perfect fit for you. This group schedules numerous community events each month as well as other ongoing programs including:
- Celebrations of the High Holidays, Chanukah, Purim, Shabbat
- Annual Passover luncheon
- Trips to museums, concerts, the beach, sporting events and New York City
- Opportunities to listen and learn from influential speakers
- Torah study led by a rabbi to provide spiritual growth
- Brunches, picnics, bowling parties
- Work and leadership training programs
- Access to permanent housing
- Publishing a monthly newsletter, Tikvah Talk
