The Pennsylvania Department of Aging makes available, to persons 60 years of age and older a wide variety of programs to help them transition through the changes that come with the passing years. The Department’s local resources, or Area Agencies on Aging, provide support and services to enable older adults to continue to live in their homes and communities. Services may include adult day services, companion services, counseling, home environment modifications, home delivered meals, inpatient respite care, institutional respite care, medical supplies and equipment, personal emergency response system, personal care, physical, occupational and speech therapy, transportation, caregiver support, and aging waiver programs.
