Clinton County Children and Youth Services
Clinton County Children and Youth Services - School Based Outreach
School-based outreach is a prevention program initiated in cooperation with local school districts to provide crisis and short-term interventions for at risk children and families in each school district community. Services available through this program include assessment, intervention, individual student contacts, small group activities, family home visits, crisis intervention, summer programming, and referrals to other community resources and services. School-Based Outreach caseworkers serve as liaisons between the school, families and community resources and serve on each school’s Student Assistance Program team. The goal of the program is to quickly identify and resolve child/family issues/concerns before they escalate into formal referrals into one of the child welfare or other service system.
