Telephone crisis hotline.
When you call the Crisis Center, staff will talk with you about your concern and work with you to plan and manage the situation. Valley Creek Crisis Center works to:
De-escalate and stabilize an immediate individual or family crisis
Provide risk assessments and bio-psychosocial evaluations
Be a liaison to police, emergency medical services, & mental health facilities/providers
Support the individual/family/school to cope with and prevent future crises
Form a follow-up plan that links to community-based resources
Provide brief follow-up and support to individual/family/school after a crisis
Assist schools and communities to respond to critical incidents
Provide information and referrals to individuals, families and schools
Provide consultation and professional training to mental health professionals
Identify alternatives to hospitalization when possible, and facilitate voluntary or involuntary hospitalization when appropriate
