Dauphin County Social Services Children and Youth - Placement Services
Temporary placement of an abused, neglected, or dependent child in a foster family or group home; permanent placement of children in an adoptive home if return to natural family is not possible. Children & Youth must seek termination of parental rights after a child is in placement for 15 months if the family has not made significant progress in resolving dependency issues.

Eligibility: Child birth through 18 years old and in need of emergency placement or declared dependent and in need of placement by court.
Fee Amounts: Child support per domestic relations hearings.
Helpful Tips: Out of home placement for at risk children and youth.
Facility/ADA access: Bus nearby, wheelchair accessible, interpreters as needed.
