Child Advocacy Center - Montrose
Children's Advocacy Center
The Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) of Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties is a private, non-profit, charitable organization overseen by FSA NEPA and a committee of community members. CAC provides a safe, comfortable environment for children and their families as they go through the interviewing and examination processes after disclosing some type of traumatic experience. The process is facilitated by an assigned family advocate. Supports and services are free to all children of abuse or victimization. CAC provides a Multidisciniplary Investigative Team (MDIT), made up of individuals from the District Attorney's office, law enforcement community, Child Protective Services, Victim Service, medical providers and mental health providers, to gather evidence and information in investigation of the alleged crime.
