Allentown Rescue Mission - Emergency Shelter
**NOTES**
Temporary Procedure Change due to the pandemic: Men are in Quarantine status: they remain on the property 24 hours a day except for medical needs or court mandated appointments. They cannot work jobs or have visitors. It is also recommended to call 211 to receive a Coordinated Entry and be placed on the By Name List (BNL). Police Station no longer gives out vouchers, clients MUST bring an original plastic photo ID (no faxes or photocopies), which will be screened by ARM staff.

66 emergency shelter beds for adult men. All men wishing to enter the shelter are screened for any outstanding warrants with the police. Provides opportunities to enter long-term programs. Free meals, personal care items, clothing, shower facilities, laundry, phone and computer services for case management.

Intake Requirements: Photo ID (original plastic card, no photocopies or faxes)
Intake Procedure:
Call 610-740-5500 ext313 to speak with Emergency Shelter Staff for instructions and details of their Covid Quarantine rules. It is also recommended to call 211 and get a Coordinated Entry done which places individuals on the By Name List for access to various government assistance programs.
1. Photo identification will be required for Intake
2. Walk up to the Allentown Rescue Mission Emergency Shelter door, accessed through the Court St alley behind the Mission, directly across from the Allentown bus terminal.
3. Press the door phone button and let them know they are there for an Intake and wait for a Staff member to come outside. If instructed, individuals may need to sit and wait.
Individuals will be interviewed by an Emergency Shelter Staff member and if eligible will receive an Intake.
