We are also able to distribute items on an as need basis to those going through a financial hardship, are a victim of violence, are experiencing a life changing medical condition, etc. What started out as a school project has grown into a wonderful outreach for the community. The Circle of Love Giveaway takes place twice per year; once in the spring and once in the fall. These sessions will allow for several services to take place at the same time, while families receive the services of Circle of Love.

    Stitches of Love is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit Corporation serving as a community outreach of volunteers that provide for infants, children and families where babies are born into difficult circumstances, born prematurely, or fetal demise. Our support is given through community hospitals, pregnancy centers and children’s homes by providing hand-made items. Stitches of Love was conceived and grew through Providence Presbyterian Church (PCA), Quakertown, Pennsylvania, in the spring of 2003, with three individuals. It has grown through various churches in many different states throughout the U.S. Our organization now has several hundred members. We strive to meet the needs where other means are not accessible by providing: - Afghans, quilts and blankets for newborns - Matching caps - Toddler or sibling blankets - Burial clothing for preemies too weak to sustain life or stillborn babies - Fetal bereavement clothing - Layettes - Isolette Covers - Sweaters - Dolls - Chemo caps - Other custom items upon request

And, when prom time or school programs come around, has a variety of “dress up” clothes for kids and teens. The Clothing Closet is opened Wednesdays 4-5:30pm and the 1st & 3rd Sundays 1:30-3pm.     The “Many Hands Helping Others” program - BackPack Program - is a community project designed to help children who need extra nutritional meals and snacks for the weekend and extended breaks. MHHO also provides supplemental clothing, hygiene items, and other non-perishable needs to the students at any of the Danville Area Schools during the school year. These needs are identified by the School’s staff.
