    Operation Troop Appreciation - Welcome Home
    "Welcome Home" program fills a gap between the need and the actual support veterans community receives today; prevents homelessness and provides a "hand-up" to veterans who are experiencing hardship. OTA accomplishes these goals through three specific services:

    1. Beds - Provides veterans who are entering permanent housing with brand new beds (frame, mattress & box spring). Beds are provided for each veteran and all immediate family members living with them.

    2. Welcome Home Kits: Provides veterans with all the household essentials needed to maintain residence, so that they do not have to purchase them out of pocket. These items include brand new: cookware, bakeware, dishes, glassware, silverware, kitchen utensils, bathroom accessories, cleaning and laundry supplies, towels, bedding, and linens, and small appliances.

    3. Transportation - OTA is committed to the health and well-being of veterans by providing transportation to attend doctor appointments, physical therapy sessions, counseling, and job interviews.

    When available, veterans may also receive gently used furniture or other donated items we have been blessed to receive.

    Clothing Vouchers
    Clothing vouchers are requested by conference members on behalf of their clients through their parish conferences; they allow clients to shop at one of our ten thrift stores for clothes based on their individual style and sizes free of charge.

    Furniture Vouchers
    Delivered directly to the client's home, these vouchers included beds, sofas, dining room tables and chairs, nightstands, dressers, and many other everyday furniture items. Furniture vouchers are delivered within 2-4 weeks of request.

    Household Goods Vouchers
    Household goods vouchers, requested by conference members on behalf of their clients through their parish conferences, allow clients to shop at one of our ten thrift stores for the items they need in their home -- from pots and pans to bedspreads, linens, and pillows.
