When a child needs an item from the closet, they are assisted by an agency or school professional. NCJW funds, purchases, and delivers the clothing with support from donors and volunteers.

Provides professional hair care services and hygiene products to youth in CYF care or aging out. Through the My Best Self Program, youth have the opportunity to participate in social skills workshops and hair care trainings with the goal of empowering each youth to look good, feel better, and be their best self.

Provides a drop in center for individuals fighting homelessness. Serves coffee and breakfast foods and offers a short Morning Prayer service. Showers and laundry facilities are available, and there is a clothing room where anyone can receive free clothes, as well as socks, lotion, soap, and other toiletries. Laundry service suspended during COVID.

After the main church service on Sunday evenings at 5:15 PM, a free dinner is served.

Helps eligible families that do not receive WIC benefits to get formula, baby food, and other items.

Offers a small supply of clothing and toiletries for anyone in need. Also has a full array of pantry staples available.

Offers individualized counseling for expecting women and couples. They can meet weekly/biweekly with a trained lay counselor to learn about prenatal care and childbirth through our Earn-While-You-Learn program called "BRIDGES". Completed sessions are exchanged to earn new cribs, car seats, pack-n-play, diapers, baby clothes, and more.

Provides free essentials like cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, school supplies, and home goods through a dignified personal shopping experience.

Students at Chief Shikellamy Elementary School have weekend food bags available to them via the school district. Students can register with the district for this program and can collect for not only for themselves but also for any other child living in their home between the ages of 3 and 18 years. Students are given bags of non-perishable type foods every Friday for consumption on the weekends. Registration paperwork is sent home with students around the first or second week of each school year.

Assists families on a limited budget who do not have the means to purchase basic personal care items and basic household supplies.

Hosts a monthly food distribution to those who have registered/pre-qualified. Distribution may include food as well as personal hygiene items when available.

Distributes supplies and services to displaced individuals and families of Schuylkill County. Provided are emergency food, clothing, and hygiene supplies. Supplies are made available by donation and are limited.

Street Outreach Workers reach out to the unsheltered and connects them with emergency shelters, housing or critical services. Also provides urgent, non-facility-based care to unsheltered who are unwilling or unable to access emergency shelter, housing or appropriate health facility.

Provides outdoor pantries all around Berwick with nonperishable food items, clothing, blankets, gloves and hygiene products for people in need. The donation posts are places where people can give or take what ever they need.

Provides food to eligible clients at no charge, one time per month, with no appointment necessary during cupboard hours. Offers non-perishibles, dairy, meat, produce, personal care items, diapers, and pet food as available.

WIC provides low-income pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children under age 5 who are nutritionally at-risk with nutritious foods, nutrition and health education, breastfeeding promotion and a referral system for health and social services.

D) All exchanges are based on our inventory. If we don’t have the size you need we can place you on a list and contact you when we have what you’re looking for. We do not special order diapers for our exchange program.
E) You are limited to 2 product exchanges per month.

Each child leaves the Hope Chest with a backpack, duffel, or suitcase in which to carry their belongings.
