Pet Adoptions & Shelter
Fill out the Adoption Application from the Antietam Humane Society website. Come to the Shelter to meet with your potential pet. If you have other animals, particularly dogs, or small children, bring them along, too. Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you can take the pet home for a foster period, usually 1-2 weeks. If everything goes well with the pet in your home, bring them back on the scheduled date to finalize the adoption. If, for any reason, it does not work out during the foster period, simply bring the pet back. Begin the Adoption Process Please note: After submitting an adoption application, we recommend that you follow-up with the shelter to ensure they have received your adoption application ------.
