The mission of the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter is to protect, shelter and adopt homeless animals in the northern Franklin and parts of southern Cumberland county service area. CVAS provides shelter to stray and otherwise homeless pets and minimizes their stress, protecting them from the elements and providing a place of safety and comfort. We provide safe and speedy return of lost pets to their owners, place adoptable pets with responsible owners, aid in the prevention of cruelty and neglect to animals through educational efforts and legal citations as necessary.

ACCT powered by the PSPCA is dedicated to better serving all of Philadelphia's animals in need. ACCTenables staff (working with foster, rescue and shelter partners) to find homes for animals; Larger fleets of vehicles assist with removing animals from the street where they could possibly be injured by cars; ACCT staff consists of two full-time animal behaviorists to assess animals entering the shelter; a medical team to provide necessary lifesaving treatment; and a specialized, on-site spay-and-neuter team to ensure that Philadelphia's pet overpopulation problem is being properly addressed.

Provides 24/7 emergency transport, shelter and veterinary care for animals involved in residential fires or other emergency incidents in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties. We also provide temporary foster care for up to 30 days and assist with food, supplies, medications, spay, neuter and vaccinations.
