Allentown School District
Allentown School District Family Centers

Family Centers, located at Jefferson and Central Elementary Schools, coordinate and facilitate a variety of support services for Allentown School District families.

Family Centers seek to ensure the healthy growth and development of children by coordinating a wide variety of support services for families in the communities in which they live.

These services include:
* Parent Support and Child Development Education
* Pediatric Health Services
* Healthy After-School and Summer Activities
* Family Preservation Services
* Education and Employment-Related Services

Family Development Specialist certified in parent education home visits meet groups of parent sand provide assessments and support to parents for their children from pregnancy through kindergarten. They facilitate access to needed services and coordinate case management services.
Health centers are also located in the elementary schools served by the Family Centers.

Collaborative partners representing health, communities of faith, education, business, government and community based organizations join in efforts to improve the lives of children and their families.
