-Individual Outpatient (all ages): one-on-one and group therapy provided to individuals with autism and their family. Clients typically attend weekly to work on developmental needs and build upon strengths.

Offers Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy coaching for parents of children with autism throughout northeast Pennsylvania. ABA is a type of therapy that helps improve communication and social interactions, develop new skills, and support positive behavior. Families have two options. They can receive a free consultation with a therapist who can provide interventions and strategies to manage behaviors and increase engagement. For families wanted more training, multiple sessions of individualized coaching working one-on-one with an Easterseals ABA therapist. Sessions extend beyond the parents to include other caregivers in the child’s life like siblings, grandparents or sitters. All meetings and coaching sessions are done through a secure online platform using videoconferencing. The program is provided at no cost to families thanks to funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Offers hearing evaluations, hearing aids, hearing aid counseling, and the Hear Now Program for low income individuals, as well as outpatient speech evaluations and speech therapy. Home and Community-Based Autism services are provided to children ranging in age from early childhood to twenty-one, using a tiered approach.

For pre-school children, Friendship House offers an intensive behavioral intervention home-based program that focuses on increasing basic learning and language skills.

For school-aged children, interventions may include Direct Service Professional support in school, to help the individual learn appropriate adaptive behaviors and decrease behavioral symptoms that may impede learning. In addition, home programming may also be a component of a child’s treatment plan. Home programming for school-aged children typically involves increasing daily living, and socialization while also decreasing maladaptive behaviors. Other individuals on the Spectrum may benefit from interventions that are based in the community in which they live to encourage and utilize services/resources available to all of members of our society.

The Center's Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) program is a center-based program for children ages 2 to 6. The program offers full-day state-of-the-art intensive and comprehensive treatment based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The staff to child ratio is one-to-one. Children who are candidates for Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) including Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Asperger's Disorder, Rhett's Disorder and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder.

NEXUS students are be grouped according to academic achievement, language ability, learning capacity, and relational development. Instruction takes place in small groups of up to four children and a teacher, with the children assigned by skill level in the topic being addressed. Classes are conducted simultaneously in close proximity, to foster opportunities for the children to become familiar and comfortable with each other.

We provide members, families, caretakers and professionals with support and information pertaining to the latest interventions and educational practices, therapies, and available programs for individuals with ASD. We also provide opportunities for those living with ASD to overcome social barriers, enjoying group and leisure activities in the community. Our goal is to help people with autism live full and independent lives.

Provides support that enables adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible in their own apartments and homes in the community. Individuals are supported in choosing their residences, with some adults purchasing their own homes. Services vary according to the individual need and are reduced as needs diminish. Includes assistance in money management, shopping and menu planning, home management, and accessing common community agencies.

Provides Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS): The TSS provides therapeutic support to a child in a specified social, behavioral or emotional area of concern. The TSS helps a child improve on needs that have been identified by the child, family, and community supports.

Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC): The BSC provides assessment, treatment planning and direction and supervision of the TSS and ensures coordination of care.

Mobile Therapy (MT): The MT provides direct therapy to children in the home and community setting, treatment planning and direction, and supervision of the TSS.

Provides therapeutic and social relationship interventions designed to teach and enhance age appropriate social skills. The goal of WonderKids is to increase independence, social skills, self-regulation, and coping skills while encouraging clients to understand the intentions, motives, emotions, and perceptions of others. Each client will receive an individualized treatment plan developed and reviewed by their child's clinical treatment team, including parents, family, or other service providers.

Provides BHRS (Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services)/IBHS (Intensive Behavioral Health Services) mental health services as well as respite care services for ages 2 to 21. Offers early Intervention and special instruction services, which provides 1-on-1 support for ages 0 to 3.
