CPC and Community Collaboration to Assist in Housing Stability
Specifically created to address housing/rental issues due to covid-19. Though moratorium on evictions is in place until July 10, 2020, the community would like to boldly meet challenges that a change in employment and other factors play in the ability to pay rent.
Working with the ACT Initiative can help you:
•Understand your financial situation
•Prioritize family needs
•Teach budgeting and income literacy strategies and
•Access a one-time financial component to pay rent (there is a cap to this amount)
The intake and program will be done over the phone and held remotely.

Eligibility: A screening process thru CPC. If you do not qualify for this specific program, ask for additional financial case-management resources. They have robust financial literacy and self-sufficiency teams working with the community in addition to the covid program.

NOTE: as of March 24, 2020 Due to covid-19 directives regarding health and safety, this service is currently CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC and RESIDENTS. You may call us during normal business hours. We will resume normal operations when directed to do so. Maintenance staff will only be handling emergency work orders during this time.

  • PLEASE NOTE: Homelssness PREVENTION for HOUSING AUTHORITY RESIDENTS: If you are struggling to pay your rent, speak to your property manager and/or case manager
    as soon as there is an issue.These offices seek to work with residents to prevent any evictions or displacements. This is always the case but especially true during the current covid-19 situation.
    If you have already contacted your manager and/or case manager and still find yourself in danger of being homeless, please, ask 2-1-1 for housing help and seek out additiona York County programs such as:

      The York County Housing Authority:
    • Provides decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
    • Owns and operates public housing units in addition to administering Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8 Rental assistance).
      SERVICES OFFERED:
    • Management services to: York Towne House, Village Court and Waverly Court Apartments.
    • Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8): This program helps families afford safe, decent and sanitary rental housing that is available through private landlords.

    • Turnkey Lease / Purchase Program
