Only patients who have been previously evaluated by an AHN-affiliated health care provider for COVID-19 symptoms and who have a valid prescription order from their doctor may be tested at the drive-up collection sites this time.* After the COVID-19 test is ordered, patients will be contacted directly by AHN to set up an appointment at a testing site.

We are offering evaluation and testing to the community to include those not currently a patient of Dingmans Medical Center. Screenings are done prior via a Televisit,which are essentially virtual visits. During the visit, the proper test will be ordered, you will be told what time to come for our Drive Thru Testing. Those patients who are utilizing the Drive Thru Testing should NOT have anyone else in the vehicle (unless they are a minor). The person being screened should be on the driver’s side of the vehicle and should remain in the vehicle and drive up to the awning. We will call you as soon as we get results, which may take up to 3-7 days, depending on the demands of the lab.

Wayne Memorial Hospital’s COVID-19 testing site in Pike and Wayne Counties. Wayne Memorial Hospital - 601 Park Street, Honesdale -Patients with prescriptions for COVID-19 testing may present at the hospital starting Monday, October 19th. They will be directed to a safe private room appropriate for this kind of testing. As of January 9th, individuals with a prescription will be able to acquire a COVID test from 7:30am – 12noon on Saturdays, in addition to Monday – Friday from 7:30am – 4pm, at the Wayne County Fairgrounds at Route 191 North and Miller Drive, Honesdale. The collection process will be located in a trailer with heat, water and computer network access. Patients will be given an easy-to-use, nasal-swab, self-collection kit. A healthcare provider’s prescription and insurance information is required for testing. Wayne Memorial Laboratory Services will offer both COVID-19 and respiratory panel tests by prescription only.
