Designed for the adult in need of instruction that is delivered one-on-one with volunteer tutors. Curriculum based on developing basic communication, consumer economics, community resources, health, employment, government and law, computation, learning to learn, and independent living.

Adult training facilities provide services that assist individuals in meeting personal needs and performing basic daily activities.

Adults are matched with a trained volunteer tutor to work on the basic skills needed to get or retain a job, or enter post-secondary education.

Provides one-on-one tutoring for adults who want to learn reading, writing, math, or English; prepare for the GED; or become a citizen.

The Workforce Literacy Program is a one-on-one literacy tutoring program. Available to those Adult Basic Education ABE, GED or ESL students needing additional educational support or flexible scheduling. This program also serves those needing preparation for specific advancement examinations, such as Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL. The program provides an alternative to traditional classroom instruction.

Offers adult literacy education. The program includes adult basic education, English as a Second Language (ESL), high school equivalency GED instruction, health literacy, computer literacy, workforce development programs, career counseling, support service counseling, college access counseling, workshops, and volunteer training.

Student decides the hour. LCH's social assistance team provides individualized workforce development support to our clients seeking to gain new employment or find a better job. This assistance can be accessed by making an appointment to see any member of our social assistance team any hours LCH is open. This service is also free of charge.

Early Childcare programs strengthen families and boost youth development by offering infants, toddlers,

Literacy program for adults. Offers free adult education classes to assist learners with obtaining their Secondary School Diploma or brush up on their academic skills. Features in-person, remote, and hybrid instruction.

Offering technical classes and programs to youth and adults.

Helps individuals prepare for the General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency (HiSET) tests by providing instruction that improves reading, writing, and math skills; enhances job readiness; and encourages career exploration or advanced training options. Support services and case management are also available. Tutors provided on a case-by-case basis.

Provides or facilitates the availability of adult education and workforce training opportunities. Programs suchs as: GED or HiSET preparation classes; Adult Basic Education Classes; basic computer classes; workforce skill classes; and the opportunity to earn a college degree. Provides financial assistance for work-skills related classes for those with a financial need, and also makes available adult college scholarships. Hi-Ed also hosts Pennsylvania CareerLink services.

Provides an emergency shelter for families with children that assists families in their progress toward self-sufficiency in personal housing, helps provide basic necessities such as clothing, food, personal supplies, helps to secure necessary paperwork such as Social Security card, Photo ID, and birth certificates. Provides a case manager who works with family to identify needs and establish goals, provides assessment and links families to community resources such as: job search; employment; assistance to stabilize income/benefits; education - adult & children.

The Franklin/Fulton County Mental Health Program contracts for the provision of mental health services to Franklin/Fulton County adults with severe and persistent mental illness and children who have a mental health diagnosis or who are at risk of developing a mental illness.

Staff is available to provide consultation to agencies and contracted service providers as well as training on a broad spectrum of topics including but not limited to suicide prevention, overview of mental health and mental illness, incident debriefing, the basics of the Mental Health Procedures Act, co-occurring disorders, etc.

Provides assistance navigating community resources and Workforce/employment services, including employment skills, career counseling, high school equivalency assistance and reentry assistance. Also provides a recovery support center with community based self help programming for individuals experiencing a substance abuse disorder. Recovery Cafe provides a safe, sober place to socialize.

Tutoring is available to prepare individuals to take the HiSet or GED test.
