CHALC is an umbrella organization that provides services to homeschoolers and home school support groups across Lancaster County. There are many home school support groups in the county. CHALC will refer interested persons to the appropriate group. Publishes a newsletter listing activities and events for home schooling parents and children. Offers insurance for support groups and their activities. Offers informational seminars and a home school graduation ceremony.

Alternative Education Program - Berks Center
The Alternative High School provides an opportunity for students to complete requirements for graduation in a non-traditional classroom. Various class sessions are held throughout the day to accommodate individual work and family schedules. Students work at a pace that meets their individual needs to complete academic credits as outlined by the home school district. Success and achievement is measured through the completion of assignments, unit tests and a final examination for each course. The ultimate reward is a traditional high school diploma from the home school.

Boys LEAD criteria: (Boys ages 8-12) Boys LEAD helps young men and boys by providing them with social skills and activities that will foster leadership.
