The LIFE (Living in Family Environment) program serves elementary age students. The LIFE program is a school-based prevention program that provides goal-oriented services to students and their families. Program Caseworkers are based directly in the elementary schools. Work with students, parents and classroom teachers to develop support plans to address behavioral, emotional, social, and/or academic concerns.
Examples of support plan goals include (but are not limited to):
Coping with anxiety, grief & loss, social skills, study skills, parent separation/divorce, organization, self-esteem and problem-solving. To provide an open, honest, and collaborative network of communication between the school and the family. LIFE Caseworkers also provide classroom-based lessons within the schools they serve. Lessons include (but are not limited to) facilitation of the Incredible Years (IY) curriculum. IY is an evidence-based program designed to promote social and emotional competence. Research has shown that IY facilitation to young children decreases risky behaviors such as delinquency, violence, and substance abuse later in life. The IY curriculum is incorporated into the LIFE program for students in kindergarten, first and second grades.

The emergency delegate is available 24/7 in both Franklin and Fulton Counties. The delegate will complete an interview with the person who will act as petitioner and completes the application determining the need for emergency treatment. If the delegate determines there are grounds, the petition is completed along with a warrant that is delivered to the police.

The police then pick up and transport the individual to the emergency room for evaluation and where the doctor makes the final determination as to the need for admission (emergency treatment).

If emergency treatment is needed, the delegate then reads the individual his/her rights and crisis begins to make referrals to various inpatient hospital settings until one is located. This may include gaining prior authorization with insurance companies.
