After Boy Scouts, many young men transition into the Venturing program.

    Cub Scouts is a year-round program designed for boys ages 7 through 10. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development, citizenship training, and physical fitness. Boys begin as Tiger Cubs as they finish kindergarten, and then move into the Wolf and Bear Cub Scout programs (second and third grade). Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth grade) is the next program, preparing boys to transition into Boy Scouts.

    Fostering friendship.
    Cub Scouts are part of a pack, which meets weekly under the direction of a Cubmaster and other adult volunteers. At pack meetings, boys participate in games, educational activities, and group recognitions.

    Camping.
    Age-appropriate weekend and summer camping programs are packed with theme-oriented action that brings Cub Scouts outdoors.

    An economical program.
    The annual membership fee is $10. Boys’ Life magazine is optional at $10.80 per year.

    Children with epilepsy, like all children, need to experience and enjoy outdoor recreation. The EAWCP sponsors two weeklong, overnight summer camping programs called Camp Frog. This nationally recognized activity allows kids with epilepsy/seizure disorders to be integrated into a typical camping experience with hundreds of other children. The overnight program is available to boys and girls with epilepsy/seizure disorders from ages 8-17 who have completed 3rd grade but not yet graduated high school. Campers enjoy a host of activities, such as arts and crafts, campfire sing-alongs, swimming, team games, sailing, archery, and horseback riding. Camp staffs include EFWCP counselors, with additional support from medical staff. All camp staff members receive specialized training in seizure recognition and first aid. Medical staff includes a licensed pediatric neurologist and a registered nurse practitioner. Scholarships and financial assistance are available to eligible campers.

    Camp Cadet is a summer camp for Pennsylvania youth between the ages of 12 to 15. The camp is held at various locations throughout the State and staffed by Troopers, local police officers and many other volunteers. The goal of Camp Cadet is to introduce participants to the diverse criminal justice system and establish a positive relationship with law enforcement personnel.

    Camp Cadet is open to all youth and is structured similar to training at the police academy. The camp focuses on discipline, self-esteem, teamwork, drug and alcohol education, violence prevention and many other issues facing todayÂ?s youth.

    Camp Cadet is a non-profit organization. Meals, lodging and programs are provided at no cost to the applicant. Camps are usually funded by various fund raisers and business and community donations. Some Camps may charge a small application fee to cover administration costs.

    Providess two one-week reduced-fee residential summer encampments in the Pocono Mountains for children whose parents could not otherwise afford to send them to camp. Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, canoeing, ropes, hiking, campfire activities, and more. Transportation provided.
