*Receive a discount of half off the price of fresh fruits and vegetables* To join the SNAP Fruit & Vegetable Bucks at Kennie's Market, you must:
  • have an active SNAP EBT card.
    • sign up between December 1st, 2018 and January 31st, 2019 at Kennie's Market Customer Service Desk in Gettysburg or Biglerville, the WIC office or the SCCAP Food Pantry in Gettysburg.
    • have a Kennie's Shopper's Card. If you do not have a Shopper's Card, you get one free of charge when you sign up for the program. SNAP Fruit and Vegetable Bucks at Kennie's Market begins January 2, 2019 at Kennie's Market in Gettysburg. The program will run through April 30, 2019, or as long as funds last. During the program period, you will receive a discount of half off the price of fresh fruits and vegetables. The discount is limited to 5 items of produce per day and will be taken from the highest priced items. Examples: a bag of prepackaged apples count as one, a bag of carrots count as one, a bunch of broccoli counts as one, a pack of strawberries count as one, a mango counts as one, a watermelon counts as one. If you pick up 3 loose apples and put them in a plastic bag, then that counts as three.
