      How Does It Work? When a York County resident visits a partnering voucher agency and reports that they do not have food, they are given an emergency food voucher at no cost. Each voucher can be redeemed at the York County Food Bank for up to 50 pounds of food items.

      The Emergency Food Voucher program is an innovative partnership between the York County Food Bank and partner agencies to provide emergency assistance to York County residents in need when partner agencies are unable to keep food at their site.

    Provides food vouchers to eligible seniors to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs from approved Farmers' Markets in Pennsylvania. Vouchers are not able to be used on citrus fruits, bananas, pineapples or other produce that is not grown or produced in Pennsylvania.
    Each eligible senior may receive $50.

    Available only in the summer months between June and November, on a first-come, first-served basis.

    A federally funded assistance program, that provides a one (1) month mortgage or a one (1) month metered utility payment or vendor minimum delivery amount of a non-metered utility (wood, oil or propane if the primary heat source). This service may also allow for hotel/motel vouchers in order to provide shelter to homeless individuals. Sullivan County households can be assisted once a year through this program while funds are available and on a first come first serve basis.
