Utilities include electricity, oil, gas, coal, firewood, sewer and water. The maximum amount of each assistance payment is one month's utility usage, one minimum delivery of oil/coal/firewood, one month's rent or one mortgage payment.

RUA operates when funds are available by providing temporary financial assistance to eligible County residents with limited income, facing a court ordered eviction or utility shut off.

Friends Association provides free legal representation, financial assistance, and social service support to individuals and families facing eviction through the Eviction Prevention Court Program. The program currently serves the Downingtown and Coatesville District Courts.
