Authorized loan and grant purposes include but are not limited to the following: 1. Insulate

4. Repair roofs

Section 504 Loan and Grant Program helps qualifying applicants repair, improve, and/or modernize a home, make it safe and sanitary, or remove health and safety hazards.
Both programs provide funds to make such major repairs or renovations as removing electrical and fire hazards, replacing roofing, installing or improving water and waste-water disposal systems, installing insulation and heating and cooling systems, and making homes accessible for people with disabilities.
