Provides up to $25,000 to correct code deficiencies, and an additional $10,000 to reduce lead-based paint hazards, as a no-interest loan, which will be forgiven if the property is not sold or transferred for at least five years after the rehabilitation is complete.

Responsible for the administration of sidewalk repair grants to residents who can not afford the repairs, and low-interest loans to other residents. Low-interest sidewalk loans are also available to landlords who do not live in their buildings, although grants are not. Grants and loans can go up to $3,000,plus money for tree removal, if necessary.

Grants have a lifetime limit of $7,500 . Grants must be repaid if the property is sold in less than 3 years . If applicants can repay part, but not all of the costs, applicants may be offered a loan and grant combination
