Assists eligible caregivers through education about caregiving techniques, information about services available in their communities, and provides limited financial reimbursement for caregiving expenses.

Program Eligible and Income Eligible caregivers may receive reimbursement of up to $500 per month to help with out-of-pocket expenses ranging from respite care to adult briefs. In addition, one-time grants of up to $2,000 may be given to qualified families to modify the home or purchase assistive devices to accommodate the frail relative. Such adaptations might include installing a stair climb, a wheelchair ramp, or modifying a bathroom.

Through a cost sharing approach family may recieve monthly reimbursements of up to $200/month through PA FCSP and an additional $300/month from the National FCSP. These monies can help with out-of-pocket expenses ranging from respite care, over-the-counter medicines, incontinence supplies, day care and home chore services.
Modifcations can be made to the home such as installing stair lifts, building ramps or bathroom modification. One time only grants of up to $2000 can be give to families who qualify so that they can make the home more livable for the frail relative.

Housing Partnership of Chester County - Home Rehabilitation Program
The purpose of this county wide program is to help low to moderate income home owners correct violations of the BOCA Property Maintenance Code, Local and State Codes, and the Section 8 Housing Quality Standards. Violations include, but are not limited to, structural, plumbing, heating and electrical problems. Lead based paint is also addressed in this program.

Handicap accessible modifications are also included in this program. Modifications include, but are not limited to, widened doorways, ramps and accessible bathrooms and kitchens.

Full title service is required for loans of $7,500 or more
Grants have a lifetime limit of $7,500
Grants must be repaid if the property is sold in less than 3 years
If applicants can repay part, but not all of the costs, applicants may be offered a loan and grant combination
