Families live at host congregations for one week at a time and rotate around to twelve different churches in the area who provide shelter, three free meals a day, and often provide evening activities and fellowship for the guests.
Each day, families are transported to the Day Center by the FPHCR bus where families can do laundry, shower and get ready for school or work. Parents who are not working stay at the Day Center and work on job and housing searches. Each family meets weekly with a staff member at FPHCR for case-management.
