Child/Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Services offers inpatient psychiatric services for children and adolescents

Devereux at Belmont provides a highly structured program for adolescents with psychiatric disorders and dual diagnoses. Treatment interventions are either short-term stabilization oriented or long-term treatment and maintenance oriented. The program offers opportunities for family therapy and family involvement in group activities as well. Transportation is available.

Provides inpatient hospitalization for children and adolescents who are in need of short-term crisis stabilization and treatment in a secure, therapeutic environment. Partial hospitalization offered for those who need day treatment. Children and adolescents are treated in a designated unit and are segregated from adults at all times. Includes a separate education wing for school, an outdoor courtyard and a full-service gymnasium.

Fairmount Behavioral Health System provides inpatient services to children, ages 5-10 years of age; young adolescents, ages 10-12 years of age; and gender-specific adolescent programming for ages 13-17 years of age. Fairmount Behavioral Health System has expanded our child/adolescent services which now includes gender-responsive treatment for adolescent girls. .

Offers a continuum of inpatient psychiatric care across the life span including: a designated Crisis Response Center (CRC) providing 24/7 assessments; specially-designed inpatient units for adolescents, adults, and older adults (with and without co-occurring substance use issues); and a private supportive residential program for adults and older adults.

Provides specialized care for adolescents suffering from a full spectrum of psychiatric or emotional difficulties, including mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic illness, disruptive behavior disorders, substance use issues, post traumatic stress syndrome, and other emotional complications.

Provides short-term acute inpatient treatment and extended acute care treatment through inpatient service. Offers psychiatric evaluation and treatment, as well as counseling and therapy, through outpatient services. This includes a partial hospitalization program and several specific outpatient psychiatric programs. Provides Women’s Behavioral Health Services which helps women with problems during and immediately after pregnancy, as well as other emotional and/or psychological issues. Senior Behavioral Health Services helps older adults with emotional, transitional and/or psychological problems. The Crisis Intervention Service staff can assist individuals and professional service agencies in Cumberland and Perry counties by assessing and stabilizing people in crisis situations, such as those with suicidal or homicidal thoughts, gestures and attempts; psychotic persons; and those showing signs of serious self-neglect. Crisis Intervention also offers a Mobile Crisis Intervention Service. This service can provide face-to-face contact with an individual who may be unwilling or unable to visit a crisis office. The Maternal Assistance Program provides help for pregnant women and new mothers addicted to drugs, alcohol and/or tobacco who live in Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon and Perry counties.

The adolescent inpatient treatment unit provides service to teens between the ages of twelve and eighteen. The goal of this program is to support young individuals in their struggle with overwhelming emotional problems. Dual diagnosis assessment and education is also provided for individuals with both a primary emotional/behavioral problem and severe chemical dependency issues.

A significant focus of the program is on family therapy and education. It is extremely important for the adolescent to be followed in aftercare treatment once they have completed the program. The social work staff work collaboratively with families to ensure the aftercare is in place prior to the adolescent’s discharge.

Teen counseling and behavioral health services at The Meadows helps to meet the needs of adolescents who are experiencing difficulties with relationships and/or behaviors at home, school or within their peer groups.

Offers children's partial hospitalization program, comprehensive psychiatric, medical, and psychosocial evaluation.

Operates a Child, Adolescent, Adult and Mature Adult Voluntary and Involuntary Inpatient Psychiatric Unit.

Offers acute inpatient psychiatric treatment for boys and girls ages 5 to 18 and residential treatment for boys only ages 5 to 18. A licensed, alternative school, along with Family Based programming is another service offered at Southwood.

Provides inpatient and outpatient services for a wide variety of behavioral health issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress, anger management and issues with relationships and parenting.

At Summit Behavioral Health, we're committed to providing individualized treatment for patients in crisis in safe, supportive environment at the Chambersburg Hospital.
