Specialized Community Living provides augmented supports to persons needing intensive supports while living independently. Residential Services strives to offer varying levels of support, tailored to each person's needs. and identify skill strengths and needs . These skills include, but are not limited to menu planning, shopping and cooking, budgeting and bill paying, laundry and cleaning and managing and taking medications as prescribed. In addition to these life skills, residential staff also support residents to develop skills around managing one’s medical and physical health, socialization and recreation needs and also help residents explore educational and/or vocational interests. These services are provided in program facilities that range from homes with twenty-four hour staffing to apartments with 24 hour staff availability to community-based apartments with staff availability as needed. Referrals to these programs are all managed through the Allegheny County Office of Behavioral Health

    Licensed adult women’s inpatient non-hospital, drug and alcohol free, level 3.1 facility providing residential treatment for women recovering from substance use disorders. Services as a secondary rehabilitation/transitional living resource for women in recovery. Treatment modalities include: Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Integral Dual Diagnosis Treatment, Contingency Management, Community Reinforcement, Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, 12 Step Facilitation, Trauma Services, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supported Employment, and Pharmacological Therapies.     Wesley Family Services - Adult Acute Partial Hospital
    Program offers limited intensive psychiatric treatment and is designed to provide crisis stabilization and acute psychiatric symptom reduction as an alternative to inpatient psychiatric care. Clients served cannot benefit from traditional outpatient psychotherapy at the time of referral. Treatment is goal focused and assessment and treatment are reviewed on a daily basis. Discharge planning is an integral part of the program, with recipients leaving with arrangements for less intensive levels of treatment in place.

    Diversion and Stabilization Units are a 24 hour residential program designed to stabilize psychiatric crises and direct hospitalizations whenever possible. On an individual basis, the unit provides psychiatric assessment, medication management and monitoring, and service linking. Additionally, the stabilization and diversion unit's daily schedule includes individual and group sessions aimed at promoting coping skills, symptom stabilization and preparing for post-discharge.
